Coffee cake anyone??

A delicious and very easy coffee cake to prepare and bake.

Prep time: 10 min

Cook time: 25-30 min

Total time: 40 min

Ingredients:

  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 to 1 cup of flour (add until just right)
Cream:
  • 1/2 a can of condensed milk
  • 1 pack of cream cheese
  • 1 tub of 12 oz cool whip
  • 1 stick of butter

  • 1-2 cups of coffee

Preparation:

Make REALLY strong dark coffee. (won't taste strong in cake) Add sugar and let it cool.

Move the oven rack to the top and turn on oven to 350.

On HIGH, beat the six eggs. After the eggs are all beat well, gradually add the sugar. Beat on HIGH for about 5 minutes or more. Until the mixture turns a light yellow color and is fluffy. Then, put the mixer on STIR or the SLOWEST it can go and slowly add the flour. Make sure it mixes in well. Turn off mixer after flour is mixed in well.

In a round 8" cake pan,
put butter all over pan (bottom and all sides). Then, put a little bit of flour in the pan and tilt the pan in all sorts of directions and gently pat on the side of it for the flour to spread all over the pan.
Pour the cake mix into the pan gently so it won't settle and GENTLY put on top oven rack and GENTLY close the oven without slamming the oven door and set the timer for 20-25 minutes. After timer goes off watch it and test it out with a tooth pick every few minutes.

Cream:

In mixer, put one pack of cream cheese beat on HIGH. Then add 1 stick of butter(make sure not too hard). Then add cool whip. After everything is mixed in gradually add 1/2 a can of condensed milk or more to your desired taste.

Once cake is backed, take out of oven and gently lay to cool. DO NOT TAKE OUT OF PAN UNTIL COOL. After it cools, flip over an take out cake, make sure doesn't brake. Cut in half and with a spoon soak the cake with the coffee from the inside part until nice and moist. Then put the top part of the cake that you cut on a plate and put as much as cream as desired (you can also add nuts). Then put the bottom on top so the top of the cake is flat. Then, add cream all over cake and sprinkle with chocolate or nuts.

Refrigerated before serving.

The pan looks like this.

The batter. Mine was super yellow cause I used our homemade eggs (from our chickens).

After it was baked.

Soaked with coffee.

The cream filling.

Cream spread.

Sprinkled with a Hershey bar. My finished coffee cake :)

It was delicious!

This Time Its For Keeps...

So I've been working on remodeling my room for.... quite a while now...one day I'd work on it then the next day I don't care for it anymore LOL.So today was one of those days I felt like I needed to work on it. These are some BEFORE pictures I took...

My bed is from Ikea and so is the round little table, curtains and curtain rod. I got them not too long ago. The bookshelf however, is from Wal-mart. Very cheap and perfect for decoration.

That is my vanity set I got from Ikea as well. I LOVE it!

Everything you see in this picture is also from Ikea.

Here's a close up on my table. This is the only thing I liked about my room. It just looked so refreshing!

Everything is so plain!!

So I went to Hobby Lobby and Michaels and picked up a few posters. I'm still looking for frames for them but I hung them up until then.

So here are some AFTER pictures.

I think the picture just brightens the room and gives it some color... exactly what it needed :)

I absolutely LOVE it!

I've always wanted to try out those wall decor stickers so I decided to give it a try...and since my bedding had that sorta design on it I got this one...that wall was just so NAKED it needed something! And these stickers are awesome! They're SO easy to use and you can't even tell its a sticker :) I want to get more now! Like maybe something written, like a quote.

That corner has been fulfilled :)

Then I got this picture..I think it looks great. Just needs to be maybe lowered a little.

Here this part of my room. It still looks like it might need a few touches...I don't know what though??

I don't think my room will ever be completely FINISHED...i'll always find something new for it. Well at least I won't get bored with it :)

Color Me Curious...

HELLO!

I've seen so many people blogging about things that I decided i'm ready to tell the world my opinion as well! So my very first blog :)

Let's start with Rihanna.....
A grown lady with so much talent, you'd figure she'd know how to dress herself....

Okay...the dress not so bad, all the flowers going on... WAY tOO much! Especially with that RED hair.

LOVE the pants style..color! Shoes lOOk awesome as well...however, that shirt not too bad...the color EERIE! I would have went with blue.

Cute dress...and earrings that's about it.

Now this is DIFFERENT and cute...I like!

That skirt should have been super short and it would've have made the outfit look SO MUCH better.

Everything is TOO loose... either tight shirt or pants would lOOk charming...

Unique! I like...even though you can see right through it...i can tell you one thing, SHE sure did pull it off well.

What do you guys think about Rihanna and her style?
